FAQ
What is a hydraulic flange?
Hydraulic flange connections are used for the most demanding applications, as they are often suitable for high pressures, shocks and vibrations and in demanding environments such as larger sizes.
What is an SAE flange?
They are a range of high-pressure hydraulic flanges produced to SAE J518 standards.
What are the types of flanges?
In general, flanges are threaded or welded. The two flanges are joined together by gaskets and bolts to stop leaking. There are a number of flanges, such as socket welding flanges, socket flanges, blind flanges and butt welding flanges. In addition, there are some special flanges, such as rotating flanges, reducer flanges, etc.
What information is required to identify a hydraulic flange?
Please provide the flange standard, pressure series, nominal size, bolt pattern, port connection, sealing groove, key dimensions, material, pressure requirement, and available drawing or photo.
How do I distinguish Code 61 from Code 62?
Code 61 and Code 62 should be identified by the applicable standard, dimensions, bolt pattern, flange thickness, sealing groove, and nominal size. Pressure-series identification should not be based on appearance alone.
Can you produce hydraulic flanges according to drawings?
Drawing-based production can be reviewed according to dimensions, tolerances, material, sealing geometry, bolt pattern, pressure requirements, quantity, marking, and inspection requirements.
Why do we use flange?
Hydraulic flanges can be used to connect pipes, fittings and other systems. Flanges are bolted together and sealed by gaskets for ease of use.
How do the flanges form a seal?
Metal-to-metal flanges are sealed by the clamping force provided by the clamp tightening the bolts. The flange with an O-ring is sealed by tightly compressing the O-ring and the metal plane on the other side together.
Can you cross-reference an existing hydraulic flange?
Existing part numbers, drawings, catalogs, samples, and photos can be used as identification references. All critical interface and application requirements should be verified before volume purchasing.
Can you quote multiple flange types and sizes in one RFQ?
Yes. You can submit a product list containing different flange series, nominal sizes, port connections, configurations, materials, and quantities. Please include the quantity required for each SKU.
